"Country Jesus, Hillbilly Blues, That's where I Learned my Licks....."
ZZ Top "Back in the Day".......before they got 'hold of that damn synthesizer. I had "Fandango" on cassette back when I was in high school.
Heard "Mexican Blackbird" on Sirius the other day....surprised that ain't been "cancelled" yet.
MTV-era '80s video ZZ was good in it's own right, and I still listen to it, but "Tres Hombres" was the best album ever. Not a bad track on it, and a few that were epic, like "Waitin' for the Bus / Jesus Just Left Chicago", "Move Me on Down the Line", "Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers", and the cryptic "Master of Sparks" (took a while before I found out what that one was about).
They were great live, too, although I'm too young to have seen the tour with live Texas Longhorns on stage. Sorry I missed that. Saw them later, though.
